MILESTONES

The mission of the centre is to be a focal point for practicing the Hindu way of life integrating cultural, communal and family life within the precepts of Hinduism for North Queensland.

We aim to build:

Centre of Culture – To preserve cultural heritage and richness through promotion and learning of performing art, yoga, cooking, clay Idol making, crafts geared towards Indian festivals, music and traditional arts.
The Centre currently has regular visitors from Cardwell, Ingham, Bowen, Ayr and Mackay other than the local patrons. We believe that with these objectives, we will connect to local communities, support and provide opportunities to learn and appreciate Indian tradition and culture. This will not only help the Indian community to keep in touch with their roots, but will also help them with engage with broader community who would be interested to know about Hindu way of life.
